Hey everybody, I'm Captain Matt Hilliard, owner of Day Breaker Inshore Charters right here in St Petersburg, Florida. Sixth generation fisherman, born and raised chasing these tides. My family has worked these waters from Tampa Bay down to Charlotte Harbor for longer than most can remember. Grew up commercial fishing with my dad before charters were even on the radar. That's real roots you can't buy.

I started this outfit because I got tired of watching too many operations rush folks through half baked trips. People come from Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, even further, wanting that true Florida inshore experience and they deserve better. I keep my 22 foot boat small on purpose. Lets me give you personal attention instead of herding you around like cattle.

Down here we fish through summer squalls and winter northers. I know the flats off Fort De Soto, the mangroves at Weedon Island, and how the tide moves around the Skyway and Boca Ciega Bay. Slot redfish, snook tight to the structure, big trout on the grass when it cools off. USCG licensed and insured, no corners cut on safety.

This aint some big corporate deal. Its family legacy. Early mornings loading bait, reading the water the way my granddad showed me, and putting smiles on faces at the end of the day. Families, kids, beginners or serious anglers, I adjust every trip to you.
