Local species you can catch with Daybreaker inshore charter in st. Petersburg/Tampa bay area Florida
Hey folks, Captain Matt Hilliard here with Daybreaker Inshore Charters out of St. Petersburg. These Tampa Bay inshore waters have been good to my family for six generations. Redfish hide in the mangroves at Weedon Island and Bay Pines. Speckled trout work the grass flats off Fort De Soto and Johns Pass. Snook hug structure in Boca Ciega Bay. We also pick up mangrove snapper and sheepshead around the Skyway rocks and oyster bars. Spanish mackerel cruise the channels some days.
I hate seeing the same spots hammered trip after trip. These fish move with the tides, wind, and those summer storms. That is why I run a small boat and stay flexible out here.
